ABOUT NOBLETON:

Nobleton (2016 population 4,614) is a town in southwestern King, Ontario. Located south of the Oak Ridges Moraine, Nobleton is surrounded by hills and forests. Many horse farms are found on Nobleton’s eastern periphery. Nobleton Lakes is located nearly 2 to 3 km north and includes two lakes and a golf and Country Club.

 

EDUCATION:

The town is served by both public and Catholic separate schools for elementary and junior-age children. In the public system, students attend Nobleton Public School. In the Catholic system, children attend St. Mary Catholic School. There are no secondary schools in Nobleton, so students generally attend King City Secondary School or Cardinal Carter Catholic High Schools.

Nobleton also offers the community an accredited Montessori private school. The Montessori Country School has been a part of the town for over 25 years and is located on the 15th Sideroad on 10 acres.

 

EVENTS & ATTRACTIONS:

The annual Nobleton Victoria Day Celebrations have been enjoyed by large crowds from the community and neighboring communities for over 40 years. There is something for everyone: the parade, exhibits, food and merchandise vendors, crafters, entertainers, rides, children’s activities and the best fireworks north of the GTA.

Beautiful works of art are on display throughout King Township during the Studio Tour King weekend each Spring. Stop by all locations during the weekend of the studio tour to see how artists work in their own environments. This is a great time to connect with artists on a personal level, find out what inspires them, and purchase artwork from a local source.

 

SPORTS & RECREATION:

The Dr. William Laceby Community Center and Arena is Nobleton’s public arena. It hosts many activities throughout the year including hockey programs in the winter and day camps in the summer. Nobleton is also home to the Township of King’s outdoor pool. They offer a wide variety of swimming lessons, public swim times and options for private rentals.

Cold Creek Conservation Area is located close to Nobleton on the 11th Concession, south of the 16th Sideroad, 3.5 km north of King Road. Residents and visitors can enjoy nature and walking 6.5 km of trails. Various activities and events are planned throughout the year.
